IVF #1 is officially underway

And in the middle of grief over my sweet dog and nausea from my BCPs, I somehow made it through a job interview this morning, albeit missing some sprigs of coherency. (it's just a part-time gig to supplement IVF costs--that is, if I get it) Nevertheless, the fact that I made it through without crying or retching should earn me a gold medal, no?

By the way, thank you so much to all of you who expressed your condolences. I was so touched and grateful. I love my online buddies!

You really have a lot going on all at once. I was so sorry to read about your Kyra - she was obviously meant to be a part of your life. The photo of you together is such a part of my idea of you, I'll never be able to separate the image of you, the writer, from that smiling mop of adorable dog right next to you.

Good luck with IVF#1 - and the job!

Thanks, Lorraine. But the mop of a dog is my guy, Luke (still with us). Kyra is in the background and is quite the beaut. I belonged with both of them!

I'm sorry you are going through so much at once, Shelby! Losing your sweet girl is more than enough to handle right now!! I hate the sucky part of this financial crap that has you interviewing for another job. Hugs.

I take my last nausea-induced devil pill in the morning. I am beyond thrilled as it will be the last to ever touch my lips for the rest of my life. (-;

Good luck with your cycle. We're here every step of the way!!

Hiya Shelby:

I too wish to express my sorrow about Kyra. I have had a recent event here. The sadness is profound. Hmmm....nothing like a big ole round of IVFing to really pick up up and completely rearrange you!!!!! I have great hopes for your cycle! Best Wishes xxxx

Wow, you have a LOT going on! I hope the job interview went well. I'm still thinking of your sweet doggy - it is so hard to even imagine losing mine, so my heart goes out to you.

It is SO exciting that you've started the BCPs! I'm going to be about 10 days behind you, so I'm looking forward to hearing how everything goes. Is your clinic in the city? We're at UCSF but most of my appointments will be at the new Marin clinic (closer to home).

Hope the nausea goes away soon. Take care!

(*hugs*) It's hard to have to deal with everything else in life after losing such an important piece of it, as Kyra was to you. As you move forward though, I hope you get that part time job. And I really hope this IVF works.

Good luck hun.

Shelby, as I said, something ends and something begins! Kyra was her own unique creature that nothing can replace, but it is exciting to imagine that another life will begin soon! I bet you kicked ass today. I can't imagine otherwise. Honestly. Go girl! And let's kick it up this Sat!

I'm sorry, I'm a bit late here. I read your previous post and I am bawling!!!!!! I'm so sorry, Shelby! I'm a dog lover and I don't know what I'll do when Brandy passes on, someday.

I hope you do get the job and the BFP with this cycle. I would have loved to keep my previous job..but circumstances with IF didn't allow it. :( Oh well, let's not go there. I'll get upset. :(

HUGE HUGS, SHELBY.
